Have we got an opportunity for the Pittsburgh Jewish Community!!   It is not often that we are able to bring innovative learning experiences from the coasts to our little burgh, but next weekend we will.  May 4-6 will bring gifted teachers from Mechon Hadar to our community for a weekend of innovative study and discussion.  Considered to be the leader in bringing text study to egalitarian Judaism, you can read more about their visit to Pittsburgh by clicking here.  Hosted by Congregation Beth Shalom, 12 different synagogues and community organizations are jointly sponsoring this wonderful opportunity.  The full schedule of the weekend is available by clicking here and you can register on-line by clicking here.  For those of you with little kids, there will be babysitting available so you can attend too!  The only cost for participation is for Shabbat dinner but registration is requested (and a donation to help cover the cost of the babysitters would be nice IMO if you are utilizing that service ;).   Please consider participating in part or all of this unique weekend of Jewish learning in Pittsburgh and I hope to see you there!!
