Right about now in the Passover process when you are yearning for a matzah alternative, consider a smoothie. I got the idea from looking at pinterest boards.

Smoothies are a great healthy meal straight from the blender.  Use frozen fruit, a low fat unsweetened yogurt and a natural sweetener like agave syrup and you have an delicious healthy fix to those matzah blues.

 Some hints:

For a thick smoothie, add silken tofu.

For a frothy smoothie, add a teaspoon or two of dry non-fat milk to the mix.

Use low-fat or non-fat milk (cow, soy or rice) to lower the calories.

Up the protein value with a spoonful of peanut butter or nuts.

Add a mild tasting green like fresh spinach for added nutrition.

Top off your drink with some fresh mint from your garden or a little lemon zest.
